The story of 2Friends...

2Friends was opened in 2002 by a happy and adventurous Icelandic lady who is also the mother of five.
Diana Ellertsdottir lived almost 20 years in Sweden, and in the last years there she ran a popular and well knowned restaurant together with two of her sons. About her life experience moving to Africa, she has said:

"When i came to Uganda i instantly fell in love with the country, the climate and its people. Though one thing I always missed was a Welcoming place to go out for some nice food to eat -- a place where it would be fun to meet people and relax together in a gorgeous setting. So I took my skills and decided to give it a go. Soon enough my Ugandan friend and I had found the perfect location for our Restaurant and 2 Friends restaurant was born. My friend and partner later on decided to move to Europe, so I continued to run the Restaurant by myself.

Today I am glad to have my daughter Elin here who is supervising the Guest House, which opened up
in the year 2005 on the land just next to the restaurant. It has been a great challenge with many ups and downs,      but it has been worth every minute of our efforts.

The greatest feeling of all is the huge amount lovely people we get to meet! The opportunity to make new friends and to see our guests happy with the service we provide is simply what I live for."
